I am a Kindergarten teacher in Connecticut. I’m in my seventh year of teaching, and fifth year in Kindergarten. Teaching Kindergarten is a lot like working with puppies. They are cute, sweet, loving, playful, need constant attention, not always potty-trained, and can be destructive. But no matter the ups and downs, you can’t help but love them!
Teaching is a very stressful, demanding job…I have my moments where I question why I chose this field (never due to the students, always due to the administrators). It takes a toll on you mentally and physically. What I want to do is give some humor to teaching (we all need to smile and laugh more!), and provide some ideas for the Kindergarten or lower primary grade classroom. I will share my thoughts on education in general – both the good and bad.
The best job I have is being a wife and mother. I have been married for over 4 years and have an active 2-year-old daughter. We also have a huge rabbit named Tank. He is a rescue and fits in perfectly with our crazy family. So to say the least, I am a very busy person. Feel free to comment and offer suggestions. Let’s support each other and try to find the humor in our crazy lives!
